Export a list, or anonymise a person
Take a list of people out of Gizzago safely, or remove someone's details for good.
Who can do this: admins only. Gizzago asks you to confirm it's you first.
Export a list as a CSV file
- Press People in the sidebar.
- Choose the list you want with a chip, for example Expiring, and search if you need to.
- Press Export CSV at the top right.
- If Gizzago asks you to Confirm it's you, type your password and confirm. You come back to the list; press Export CSV again.
A CSV file downloads. It opens in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice. It holds names and contact details, but never notes, safeguarding notes or children's details. Gizzago records the export in the audit log.
To export just one household, open a person and press More, then Export (CSV).
Keep exported files somewhere safe and delete them when you are done: they contain personal details.
Anonymise a person
Anonymising removes a person's name, contact details, notes and children's dates. Their loans and payments stay in your records without a name, so your reports still add up. It cannot be undone.
- Open the person's record.
- Press More at the top right, then Anonymise…. A panel opens.
- Type Why you are doing it, for example "Asked to be removed by email on 3 March".
- Press Anonymise, then Anonymise again to confirm.
- If Gizzago asks you to Confirm it's you, do so, then repeat steps 2 to 4.
You go back to the People list, and the person no longer appears in any list. The audit log records who anonymised them and why.
When Gizzago will not anonymise yet
The panel lists anything that has to be sorted first, and nothing changes until it is:
- something still on loan
- money owed
- a missing piece that is still open
Sort these out first (see Payments, charges and balances), then try again.
When a member asks to be deleted
Members can ask for deletion themselves from their account. See Members' own data: download and deletion.
