Invite members to sign in

Give members who joined at the desk, or who came from another system, a way to sign in online.

Who can do this: coordinators and admins.

Families who join online make their own sign-in as they join. Families registered at the desk, or brought across from another system, may have No online account. You can email them a link to set one up. The link works for 7 days; they press it and choose a password.

You can send an invitation straight away, or add it now and send it later. Adding first is useful when you want to get everyone ready and then send all the emails on the day you start.

Steps: invite one member

  1. Open the person's record in People.
  2. On the Overview tab, under Online account, each adult with an email address shows No online account and Invite to sign in. Press it.
  3. Leave Send the invitation email now ticked to email them now, and press Send invitation. Or untick it and press Add, don't send to prepare it for later.
  4. Confirm it's you if Gizzago asks.
What you'll see

"Invitation sent", and the line says Invited on the date, not set up yet, with Send again. If you prepared it instead, the line says Invitation ready, not sent with Send. Press Send, then Send invitation, when you are ready.

Steps: prepare invitations for many members

  1. Press People in the sidebar, then the No online account chip.
  2. Tick the people you want to invite (or tick the box at the top to choose everyone on the page).
  3. Press Invite to sign in in the bar that appears.
  4. Untick Send the invitation email now. It says "Add the invitation now and send it later? Nothing is emailed yet."
  5. Press Add, don't send, and confirm it's you if asked.
What you'll see

A message such as "2 invitations ready, not sent". The people move to the Ready to send chip.

Steps: send the prepared invitations

  1. In People, press the Ready to send chip.
  2. To send them all, press Send all and the number (for example Send all 136), then Send them.
  3. Or tick some of them, press Send invitations, then Send them.

Gizzago sends the emails a few at a time, so a big batch can take a while to arrive. You can safely press it again: nobody gets the same invitation twice.

What you'll see

A message such as "2 invitations sent". Sent people leave the Ready to send list.

Good to know

  • No email address, no invitation. A member needs their own email address on their record to be invited.
  • Shared inboxes. Each invitation goes to the email address on that person's record. Where two adults share one address, only one of them can have an online account with it.
  • Lost the email? Ask them to check their junk or spam folder, then press Send again on their record.
