Logo, browser icon and welcome photo
Put your logo and pictures on your public site, safely, without anything going live by accident.
Who can do this: admins only.
Pictures you upload stay private until you choose to use them, and only go live when you publish. Until you add a logo, your library's name shows at the top of every page instead.
Steps
Add your logo
- Choose Settings in the sidebar, then Public site.
- Under Style, click Logo and browser icon.
- Under Logo, press Upload a logo, or drag the file onto it. Use a PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 5 MB. A wide logo on a clear background works best. It is shown 40 pixels tall.
- Check the picture. It says "Only your team can see this so far. Using it makes it public on your site once you publish."
- Press Use this logo, or Not this one to choose another file.
- If your logo already includes your library's name, switch on My logo already shows our name. The site then shows just the logo, not the name beside it.
- Press Publish changes when you are happy with the preview.
"Logo added to your draft" and "Publish when you are happy with how it looks." The preview on the right shows your logo straight away. In the Style list, the row reads "Logo added", or "Logo and icon added" once you have both.
Add a browser icon
The browser icon is the small square shown in the browser tab and in bookmarks.
- In the same pane, under Browser icon, upload a square PNG at least 64 pixels wide.
- Press Use this browser icon, then Publish changes.
Add a welcome photo
- Under Home page sections, click Welcome.
- Under Style, choose Photo for the Welcome style.
- Upload a Welcome photo. A landscape photo works best. It sits beside the welcome words on computers and above them on phones.
- Press Use this welcome photo, then Publish changes.
Only use photos you have permission to share. Take extra care with photos of children: ask their parents first, in writing.
Remove a picture
Press Remove the logo (or the icon or photo), then Remove, and publish.
